Hello! It's time again (FINALLY) for another changelog and (FINALLY) another map update!

With this update, we're happy to announce Map v3 Beta7, which brings:
  • The new Plaza area
  • New textures / look for the street
  • WIP Bowling Alley / Arcade
  • WIP Train Station

There's plenty of rough edges with this Beta however, so we're hard at work on Beta8 to try and smooth over those, and bring some more stuff we originally intended for Beta7.

Some other highlights from this changelog (some of these happened a WHILE ago):
  • New Discord Global Bridge
    • You probably know what this is by now; it links the in-game Global Chat with the #global-chat channel here!
    • If you don't like that or want to use it for some reason, you can disable it for yourself in-game in the Scoreboard Settings
  • New HUD Hints
    • Ever forget what key does what? Just look in the bottom left of your HUD!
  • Private Theaters now cost 1/4 Credit per second
    • This is down from 1 Credit per second
    • Probably temporary...balancing an in-game economy is an ongoing process
  • New Ambient Music in the Lobby when it's not the Holidays :doggo:
  • New Media Services: Internet Archive and P-Stream
  • You can now toggle Damage in Owned Locations
  • You can now control Light Brightness (instead of just on and off) in Owned Locations
  • You can now customize Wall and Lighting Colors in Private Theaters
  • ...many MANY more changes!

Full Changelog:

PHEW! That was a lot! Our apologies for not getting out a changelog for so long after the previous one, but these are essentially just "round-ups" of all the work we do, so we kept putting it off.

To that end, if you haven't heard, we have a #project-commits channel on the Discord now where you can see us make changes **as soon as we push them! We're also planning on making a public webpage on the SGS Website soon™ where you'll be able to see all of the same information.

So, there may not be a need for these "traditional changelogs" for much longer. The idea is also to replace the old unmaintained Trello boards with these for "Live Updates," and then do proper Announcements for big ticket items that we think is worth highlighting.

All of that said! We hope you enjoy/have been enjoying all of the changes we've made over the last year. I know I've had a blast working on the map refresh personally, so we're eager to hear the feedback on that and keep building.

Enjoy, and Love You All! ❤️
