Are you a gamemode developer or server operator? Do other server trackers just not tell the whole story for you?
gmodhealth.dev
GModHealth is a new, gamemode-first and server visibility-first health tracker. While other sites simply rank servers by the number of players they have online over time, we use an algorithm to calculate the "health" of both servers AND gamemodes.
Everything starts by calculating a gamemode's health. We do this by dividing the number of players in the gamemode by the number of servers in the gamemode (plus the position the gamemode occupies on the in-game server list).
More players across a small number of servers = better health!
For servers, health is calculated by adding the server's gamemode health to the number of players online; each with equal weight.
This means your server's health isn't only impacted by the number of players you have, but by how well your gamemode is doing as a whole.
Less players on your server in a gamemode with many servers = worse visibility = worse health!
We made this tool for the GMod community because there aren't any other server trackers that are gamemode-first (the first thing you see in the server browser).
We hope this tool will inform developers about what works and what doesn't in the ever-changing GMod landscape, and encourage you to try new ideas.
If you have any feedback or ideas for how to make the tool more useful, please let us know here or in our Discord's #gmodhealth channel!
